SDN_Girl is a twitter hashtag I created after being promoted to the National Practice Lead for SDN at CDW. Since that time, I have also become the National Lead for Network Analytics, but SDNandNetworkAnalytics_Girl is really, just not an option. I am passionate about automation and orchestration in the data center and tying technical solutions to business needs.
In additional to my day-to-day job of enablement and customer meetings, I can be found speaking at various technical conferences or speaking to technology media. I was recently a delegate for Network Field Days 18, and have appeared on Techwise TV, TechVision, TechView. I decided after Network Field Day that I really needed my own Webcast to showcase the technologies I am passionate about, the amazing people I know in technology and to film from awesome locations. My co-host is my daughter Kori, she is a CDW intern and an IT Major who has already made some great connections at the 6 technology conferences she has attended.
Other than technology, my favorite thing to do is travel with my family. My husband Rick is VP of Software Design Partners, my son Kyle is a Network Engineer at WWT, my daughter Kori is with me at CDW and will be a Network Engineer, my son Kole is 15 and really wants to play in the MLB, I think Network Engineer is a very likely plan B.
I enjoy paddle boarding, hiking, biking and PokemonGo, I am SDNGirl Team Instinct.
