Intelligent Network Automation with Gluware

The data center network used to be at a single location. Server, storage, and network were each siloed with separate management.  Today’s network is very different; organizations utilize multiple data centers and multiple public clouds. It truly is a hybrid world. A common misconception is that as the public cloud gains in popularity that the number of data centers will be reduced, the is not correct.  Gartner predicts that by 2025 the number of micro data centers will quadruple.   Micro data centers increase due to big data and keeping the applications and data near the users and devices that need access.  Connecting to these various data centers utilizing the security and cost-saving provided by SD-WAN just makes sense.  Every organization realizes the need for automation to manage this increasingly complex network.

Manual configuration of network infrastructure is very error-prone, leading to outages and leaving security holes that are the perfect setting for both breaches and threats.  The number one barrier to the adoption of automation in the data center is the skills gap.  Managing these complex environments needs to be automated and simple.   At Tech Field Data at Cisco Live 2021, Gluware introduced Intelligent Network Automation for public cloud infrastructure as a service (IaaS), Cisco SD-WAN, and Cisco Meraki.

Intelligent Network Automation from Gluware provides code-free software to automate the network quickly without a complete re-education of the IT staff.   In addition to automating the network, Gluware will inventory, show errors or deviations, and allow you to drill in for ease for troubleshooting.  The Gluware public cloud IaaS is currently available for AWS, and it uses Terraform for automation.   For Cisco and Meraki, SD-WAN Gluware can make changes to hundreds of devices automatically.   This reduces the time and potential errors when configuring device by device.

Cloud infrastructure is a new language with different constructs that a network engineer is used to. Gluware can help you automate to the clouds. Currently, all three major cloud providers AWS, Google Cloud Platform, and Azure can be automated through the use of Terraform with Gluware. This simplifies the job of the traditional network engineer when they are performing tasks such as creating VPCs, spinning up workloads, and tearing down workloads.

The two most asked-for solutions features are simplification and automation.   In a complex, agile, modern hybrid cloud environment, these features are requirements.   Gluware’s Intelligent Network Automation is worth a look.
